Before matching you with one of our trained volunteers, a Sistering CU staff person will meet with you at your home, or a public place of your choosing, to discuss your needs.

Support from your volunteer can come in a variety of different ways. For example, you may want your volunteer to:

• help with household tasks

• read a story to a sibling

• go grocery shopping with you

• hold your newborn so you can shower and rest

Due to our insurance requirements, your volunteer can't watch your children while you are not there or drive you anywhere.

We try to serve a 15-mile radius around Champaign-Urbana, but sometimes it's difficult to find a volunteer outside of CU. Please put in a request for services and we'll try our best to get your family a volunteer as soon as possible.
